We are proud to inform you that the Oulu University Hospital (OYS) has released a Digital Indoor Map and Guidance Service based on the Steerpath Smart Campus platform.
"As a first step, we are now creating a digital map and route guide that will work in a web browser and a hospital logistics, "says Heli Huhtala, OYS 'project guidance development project manager.
"The digital indoor map and guidance system is designed to help hospital customers and staff navigating within the hospital buildings. The guidance system can also search for care units, cafes, the nearest toilet, and elevator," says Huhtala.
"It has been great to work with OYS and develop digital hospital solutions. In particular, the staff's open approach to the possibilities of digitalization and their ability to see how digitalization can be widely used in terms of staff, visitors, and property maintenance and logistics.
However, we have only now been able to scratch the surface in terms of opportunities, and as the use expands and feedback comes, innovations emerge. Therefore, I believe that the agile approach chosen by OYS, in which solutions are published as soon as they bring an improvement to the existing situation, is the right one and enables the continuous and rapid development of services." says Tuomas Ilola, CEO of Steerpath.
